We at Southland Fisheries Corporation would like to introduce ourselves to you. Our business was established in 1981 after several years of planning and experience gained other large scale hatchery and production operations. The skilled staff at Southland Fisheries has more than 80 years combined experience in fish husbandry and management and are well qualified in production of more than 35 North American fish species. With these skills, experience and training, we are able to provide competitively priced, premium quality fish eggs, fry and fingerlings to clients worldwide.

There are several keys to the success of our business. First, World Class training at Auburn University allows us to apply the critically important husbandry techniques in genetics and selection that provides means for the production of top performing seed stock. We believe that through superior genetics we are able to produce and provide fish with superior performance capabilities. Second, through training, experience and attention to detail, we are able to provide seed stock to clients with minimal risk of disease. We routinely provide U.S. Department of Agriculture APHIS Fish Health Certification to any client that requests it. Our use of high quality feeds, and excellent growth environment and very modern culture technology greatly reduces problems with parasites or disease at our facilities. Third, our experience and understanding of international shipments of fish eggs, fry and fingerlings allows us to provide excellent quality products to our clients. The balance between freight economy and survival of our seed stock is of utmost importance to us and certainly to our clients. Finally, our attention to detail separates us from the growing number of businesses wishing to work on a world-wide scale. We have found that the small details most people or businesses overlook are the very means by which we are able to successfully compete in our business.
